What is, but not Hungarian? Lorna and the film strip in the Filmlab

What is, but not Hungarian? A nationwide publicity campaign to help integration and acceptance of immigrants in Hungary has been launched by Metaforum Film. Ten episodes of five-minute short films have been made in which foreigners living in Hungary get to know and introduce products, events, customs that commonly believed are typically Hungarian. One of these "hungarikums" was introduced to Lorna Kralik, an American-Nicaraguan lawyer and her three American-Hungarian children.

Lorna and her children had never heard about filmstrip but they were charmed by what was for most of us an everyday childhood experience. First they could see how children’s tale strips are drawn and after that we, at the Filmlab showed them how we develop and print them. They could even try colour grading them with the help of our film grader, Éva Balog.
